Dreams are Coming True

Posted on April 12, 2007 in Happiness/Joy, Inspiration, Self-Help, Shamanism by Rebekita.

Ah, great it is to believe the dream as we stand in youth by the starry stream; but a greater thing is to fight life through and say at the end, the dream is true!” – Edwin Markham

This wonderful quote by Edwin Markham – an American Poet best-known for his social protest poems – beautifully sums up what is happening in my life.

Its been an amazing week for me as I am starting to see the fruits of nine years labour appearing on my tree of life. However, some fear has come up and I am realising its fear of my dreams coming true. It sounds ridiculous but I am so use to struggle I am not sure how to handle ‘flow.’ And yet I have been waiting for my prayers to be answered for a LONG time.

Its what I call the divine paradox. I went dancing tonight to release the frustration and after two hours of dancing like a crazy person and sweating perfusely the last song was very slow. Finally my mind was quiet and my body exhausted. I went into the silence and heard the message…”Just live the story of your life”

Michael mentioned it in his blog on 9th April. What do we do when there is no crisis??

I have been reprogramming myself to let go of trying to control what is happening and just enjoy the ride.

Now the rollar coaster is in full flow and its time to stop gripping so hard and put my hands in the air and scream with delight……!!

Muggle vs Shaman

Posted on April 10, 2007 in Self-Help, Shamanism, Spirituality, Struggle by Rebekita.

For most of my life I have been in conflict with two very different sides of my personality.I am born in March and therefore a Pisces, represented by two fishes swimming in opposite directions. I have embodied this symbol. My mother is a muggle – very down to earth, a practical woman that takes the accepted view of society that we must work hard, make money and that things happen to us. My father is a wizard, believing that we create our own reality and have the power to achieve our dreams, however ‘crazy’ they may be. Needless to say my parents finally went their separate ways a few years back and I have been accepting that I am a half-breed.

When I returned to London after completing my apprenticeship with a Peruvian Ayahuasquero Shaman in the Amazon I fell into a deep identity crisis. I was fearful and did not know how to express this shamanic side that had been nurtured and cultivated by the shaman and Ayahuasca. So I hid it in a deep box within me and did not talk about it or share my experiences.

Instead I allowed the flow of life to take me where I needed to be and surprisingly, a year after I arrived back I found my self at SOAS doing a MSc in Economic Development and then a job working in the travel and tourism industry bringing the messages of the shaman to business.

What I have learnt in the last nine years since my return to the West is that business is the disease as well as the solution. In the same way as homeopathy works, buisness has the opportunity to heal as well as destroy. Anyone that is working in business is in a powerful position to create change from within.

We all have the shamanic potential within us. We are all equal and every one of us has the power to change what is happening both in our lives and in the world. The key is to recognise that we as individuals hold the solutions. We cannot wait for others to change First we must change our selves.

The full moon in Libra and the New moon in Aries is all about living in our truth, however scary that may be. It is about standing up for what you believe in and knowing that you have the power to change things. This moon cycle is giving us an opportunity to start accepting that we are powerful creators of our reality.

I will leave you with the immortal words of Gandhi who has summed it up perfectly:
“Be the Change you want to see in the World”

Relationship stress – its the Full Moon

Posted on April 8, 2007 in Inspiration, Relationships, Self-Help, Shamanism, Struggle by Rebekita.

Relationships dominate our lives and this full moon in Libra on 2nd April gives us the opportunity to focus our attention on finding the balance between what is true for us against the opinions of others. We are often ruled by our need for approval from others and therefore sometimes do not speak our truth, or allow others to dominate us, creating stress.

The key word this month is communication. All the people in our lives reflect a part of ourselves so maintain an open heart and mind during this time. Allow others to have their say and give others the space to speak. This might be a time of confusion or of connectedness, the challenge is to go with everything that is happening and not act in haste.

The inner voice is powerful at this time and this is also a good time to act on it without fear. Trust yourself even if the messages are not very ‘rational.’ The more we remain true to ourselves without doubt the more we can relate and work peacefully with others.

Messages come in all kinds of ways so don’t dismiss passing comments or advice from unusual sources. When we don’t listen to our inner voice, we are sometimes given the messages from other people, as we are all connected in the great web of life. Also, be aware of all the synchronicities that are happening, however small.

Don’t allow doubt to cloud your knowing. Trust that it is all working out perfectly. Trust your inner knowing but don’t make any hasty decisions. If you are going through a turbulent time surf the wave by just accepting what is happening and using your thoughts to focus on what you truly desire.

5 Universal laws of Nature

Posted on in Happiness/Joy, Inspiration, Self-Help, Shamanism, Struggle by Rebekita.

Last week I went on a retreat that helped me overcome some of my limitations. One of the messages I received was to let go of the ten commandments that I was taught as a child and are now a part of my belief system.

For a while now I have been observing nature and the cycles of the moon and allowing these signs to guide me. During this retreat it became clear that it was time to let go of man-made laws and start following the Universal Laws that exist whether we know they do or not.

These simple laws open to us a new way of perceiving life – that is less complicated, less demanding and more about being in harmony with the natural flow of life that is being followed by all living things upon this planet.

These Five Universal Laws are:

1. Every Life has a Destiny

2. Every Person a Purpose

3. Every One has Access to the Next Dimension

4. All Intentions are Fulfilled

5. It All Turns Round Right in the End

I want to explain them a bit:

“Every Life has a destiny,” in this context Destiny means to awaken and live life consciously, creating our reality. Every lifetime we are given the opportunity to awaken, just like Buddha, Jesus and Mohammed. All over the world people are awakening and creating their perfect reality. Every life we have the possibility of achieving this goal.

“Every Person a Purpose”: Every person on this planet has a purpose for we are all equally connected to the great web of life. We all have something special to give to each other and Mother Earth. It doesn’t matter who you are, what your life is like, what country you are born in, we all have a gift, a skill or a talent to heal that the world needs, to make it function perfectly.

“Everyone has Access to the Next Dimension” While I was living with the Shaman in the Amazon I was told that we are ready to move from the limited confines of a 3 dimensional reality to a fourth dimensional reality. This is being represented by Quantum Physics as our understanding of how the universe works is shifting from a mechanistic world view to a energetic, fluctuating quantum world view, where everything is in flow and constantly changing.

“All Intentions are Fulfilled” another way of putting it is Law of Attraction. What we put out in Intention will be given to us. It doesn’t matter what we ask for. If our intention is clear, than it is given. That is how I found the shaman in the Amazon. We can achieve all our dreams just by having a clear intention and believing it will happen. The films “The Secret” and “What the Bleep” have clarified this universal law. Once we realise how simple the universal laws are, we can live our lives the way we want to.

“It all Turns Round Right in the End” However desperate a situation looks it all turns round right in the end. There is a purpose for everything and though we may not be aware of it due to our attachments, needs and wants, as long as we trust that it will all turn out right we just have to accept the moments when it looks like its all falling apart.
