Right Under My Nose
Sometimes an answer is so close that you can’t see it, even though you might have been looking for some time. For several months I was looking for someone to help out technically with the Cloud9000 website, blog, MySql database and etc. I had very specific qualities I was looking for in this individual. I spent hours researching the web and asking friends of mine for referrals.
For the first three or four months, I couldn’t get anyone to even answer my emails. I was become increasingly frustrated. I attempted to contact all levels of firms and technically minded individuals. Eventually I got some responses but they were either too busy or just rude. I could not believe how difficult this search was going.
In parallel, I was also collecting and researching dozens of blogs, many of them technical in nature. I began to read one that struck my fancy and for several months regularly read the posts. One day just a few weeks ago, I heard that soft spoken voice in my head (many call it our Inner Voice), say “Read the blog owners website and see what if their qualifications match your needs.”
Lo and behold, this person had every single quality I was looking for. I contacted her and got an immediate response. The rest is history. I talked with my business partner Nat about this tonight. I said that it really felt like the reason I got no response or rejections from everyone else was because I had already found the person. I just didn’t realize it.
Keep your eyes and ears open because the answers to your issues are probably right under your nose.
Michael
