Finding something positive

Posted on January 3, 2007 in Happiness/Joy, Self-Help, Struggle by Michael.

I woke up around 2:00 a.m. this morning incredibly sick. By sunrise I could hardly stand. So, with all of the symptoms I was experiencing, I was determined to find something positive. I took it as a challenge. Success! I was able to find a positive point. Of all the symptoms I was dealing with, I wasn’t nauseated. I was very happy about this and decided to be thankful that I wasn’t experiencing nausea. It helped to get through the long day.

Additionally, when I got to the emergency care facility, the doctor, nurses and support staff were some of the most friendly, thorough, knowledgable, involved, caring and compassionate medical professionals I have ever dealt with. Their customer service was off the scale. It was quite the experience. They really made my day and helped me focus away from being sick.

So, my point here is that you can find a way to be a little happier, a little more positive in any situation that may arise. It only takes a small shift in perspective.
