Bob Dylan’s New Album

Posted on September 10, 2006 in Happiness/Joy, Music by Michael.

Wow! I just finished listening to Bob Dylan’s new album called Modern Times. I have to agree with the critics. This is a masterful work of art and probably his best ever. The songs have such a depth of soul, they just reach way down inside. Talk about putting you in a good mood. Fantastic.

I heard that he produced this CD. The producer is listed as Jack Frost but this is supposed to be him.

My favorite tracks are:

  • Thunder on the Mountain – Lots of soul.
  • Rollin and Tumblin’ – Upbeat. Makes you want to move.
  • Someday Baby – The melody just makes you want to get up and do some good old two stepping.
  • The Levee’s Gonna Break - Fast paced blues number.
  • Ain’t Talkin’ – Another great soulful ballad.

I also like:

  • Spirit on the Water – Love the melody and the writing on this one.
  • Nettie Moore – Melodic and great writing.

I’ll be listening to this album for quite sometime. So, to summarize: Go buy it now. Even if you don’t like Dylan, try it anyway. You might be surprised.

Enjoy.
