“Pumpkin party” is my husband’s title for the party where you harvest pumpkins. Due to their enormous size, it usually involves two or more people per pumpkin, typically using a blanket. Beer, brats and pumpkins. Everyone leaves with one or more pumpkins to take home.

Next years garden…hmmm…weed barrier,\ for sure (I wonder how that tastes?)

I have been thinking about gardening a lot lately, and your post struck a chord. The tomatoes sound delicious. Although I have never cultivated a vegetable garden, eating tomatoes from other peoples’ gardens is one of the great joys of the summer for me.

What is a pumpkin party? Is it picking, carving, baking? Sounds fun.

What will be different in next year’s garden?
